Concept and production of Het beest in mij (The Beast in Me) with writers Arthur Japin, Lieve Joris, Tim Krabbé and Annelies Verbeke for the 2009 ‘Book Week’. Photographer Erwin Olaf made the writers merge with an animal of their choice. The series was nominated for the Mercur Award for best magazine article of 2009.

Production of Young and old writers for the Dutch Book Week of 2008. Here: Nelleke Noordervliet & Bernlef, Bernlef & Harry Mulisch, Mulisch & Marga Minco. I had been told that he would never consider doing this, but he did: Anton Corbijn portrayed all eight writers, 80 years’ worth of Dutch literature.

Concept and production of The Ideal Stedelijk Museum, 2010. Photographer Jan Theun van Rees used photographs from his archives showing the renovation of the Stedelijk Museum, then placed images of the work of contemporary artists in A4 format in front of them and photographed the whole. The art works had been selected by art critic Hans den Hartog Jager for the fictitious opening exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
